I write about what I love: travel, adventure, the outdoors, and bikes. I have small-town Southeast Texas roots but am an alumna of Rice University in Houston (class of 2006) and currently live in Austin with my husband, my two children, and one very giant cat. A former elite-level road cyclist, I now mostly ride (and occasionally race) mountain bikes. I run a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Women's Racing Foundation of Austin, that connects local women and youth cyclists with needed equipment and financial resources.
